My Mother’s Day Poem:

My Queen

Mother’s don’t get half the credit that they really earn,
They give their whole lives to make sure we grow and learn.

There’s not a time that I recall that my mother wasn’t there,
From the diaper changing days to the tangles in my hair.

When I think back through the memories in my mind,
I’m never surprised by the common denominator that I find.

Mother’s are like a tree firmly planted in the ground,
In the middle of all of the hurricanes and storms they can be found.

Their branches may blow and their leaves may sometimes fall off,
But they continue to care for us through the bruises and the toughest coughs.

When it seems like everything is going wrong and no one understands,
I can run to my mom and feel the comfort of her hands.

I know as we get older we start to wander off a bit,
We tend to think we know it all and sometimes we forget.

We forget the effort that it took for us to learn to walk,
We forget that it was only yesterday that we crawled, and we couldn’t even talk.

We have forgotten those terrible two’s when we destroyed everything in our path,
We’ve even forgotten the times when we needed for her to give us our baths.

At the very beginning, even before I was born, some how I knew,
Enclosed in her womb, protected from the world, that it was always you.

Her love reached in to where I called home, and nourished me even then,
She was my constant, my provider, my one and only friend.

If ever there was a place that gave me that warm and fuzzy sensation,
It was always in the arms of my mom, she offered the deepest of relations.

Boys she is your queen, and always honor and protect her throne,
You be her knight in shining armor, and never leave her alone.

Thank you mother for life over the years, and all that you have done,
Thank you for your love and kindness, for creating an eternal bond.

For as long as I live, I will be forever grateful to you,
For giving me life, and teaching me to live, and for everything that you do.

If I was given the chance to choose again, know that I would choose no other,
For you are my queen, my life long friend, my confidant and my mother.

We also went to Medievel Times which was awesome even though my Knight lost! He gave my mom a flower and she gave it to me. The hotel we stayed at knighted us before we went Medieve Times. We also went to Andretti to race cars, well that wasn’t too fun we just went a small circle and I kept hitting the wall. I almost made it to the top on the rock climbing wall. Swimming at the hotel was fun. I had a great weekend with my mom and cousin Amari.

We are starting an Earth Saver Girl Organization that will focus on everything about the Environment. We are planning the 2nd annual Day with Earth Saver Girl. It is going to be so much fun! We are going to have a litter blowing booth once you are in you have try to pick up as much litter as you can in 30 seconds to when a prize and so much more. I hope see you there! I will update with the date and place.
